Yes Blinky give him an emotional Support and fil the void that Jim needed after his dadbeat father left but Blinky knowledge is limited on human society while Strickler is more expended he know how to live a doodle life like how Jim's life is

he also show him the harsh reality which is more Similar to how a real dad would act honestly.

and despite season 3 being rushed it was only rushed for Stricklerlake but For Strickler and Jim it wasn't because we already had the buildup form season 1.

i am not Saying that Blinky isn't Jim's father and i def think this scene

perfectly shows Why Blinky is a father to Jim but i also think Strickler is a father to Jim just different kind father.

So S1 EP9 Claire didn't know it Was Jim's birthday and kinda felt let down by him after he ruined her house form her Pov.

However after Joining the team and start dating with Jim i bet She is the one who want to be responsible on the party probably have some fights with Barbara and Blinky on who Buy Jim's presents and i don't think Jim passed his day without his face wet lol.

For me What make Strickler a great Character that he is doing questionable things to make himself Safe but also try his best not to hurt innocent people if he doesn't have to. which make him more of a human and less of a monster.

Strickler was born a Slave to Morgana form birth he had to questionable things to Survive but as we saw especially after meeting Jim and Barbara he understands there better ways to get what you want.

Strickler Relationship with Jim is very complex and interesting as despite how Smug Strickler appear to be he always want what Best for Jim or Barbara only really going to extreme precautions only his Life depends on it like binding him to Barbara for example.

Strickler feel the Most human out of all the other Antagonists as he always tried to help Jim and Barbara even after he revealed of him being a changeling to Barbara and had this long Rivalry with Jim he always believed Jim. he never tired to change Jim even if he did is what to Help Jim to fight off Gunmmar. he always wanted to be loved but only really realizing that after he met Barbara.

Strickler really See Jim as his Son he shown him the Dark Path of being a troll and a trollhunter it's Why Jim need both him and Blinky to balance out their relationship.

he gave Barbara what she always needed after James left and a Lovin not prefect Partner for Life that they can go grow together.

So to me Stirckelr is the best Antagonist in the entire ToA universe because he was to have the most screentime to make us believe he truly meant good despite his Dark Past and questionable moments and While there thigs who are rushed Strickler feel like a believable antagonist and Character.

What do you think Make Jim great Trollhunters without things related to how strong he was as a trollhunter compare to the others.
