Newbie to the game, was wondering about the importance of degivivolving my team, like should I do that?

Should I try and finish the Omega Ruins?

Currently I'm at the entrance farming exp next to the save sphere, trying to get ready for the final battles, wondering if I should try and finish the Omega Ruins or get my team at a good spot and just leave.
