Some Bibbulmun track questions? (realities vs Google, hiking September)

We've hiked a bunch of other trails (but none with this shelter system), and hoped to check a few things:

  1. Does the presence of shelters change the equipment I should bring? (I was going to take my standard long thru stuff, but wondering if people go lighter in some way?)

  2. For the Bib are people using FarOut or "Bibbulmun Track Guide" or other? (I've loved FarOut on big USA trails, but found some of their other trail-apps are pretty meh)

  3. For people that have done *other* long trails how did this compare? (I know the PCT and AZT best)

  4. Is it worth treating hiking clothes with Permethrin? (I find it a sanity-saver for *bad* bugs (eg sierra), but unsure how it compares)

  5. Google says "camping is strictly restricted to the 49 designated campsites equipped with shelters." - what's the reality? (Is everyone really in/near the shelters every day? Or is it possible to responsibly find camps alone?)

(Fwiw, I am Australian and know the bush/snakes/etc well (and never have campfires), but I haven't done long walks here)

Thanks!

Excercise triggers bad pain in lower sternum 3 years after sternotomy - anyone else dealt with this? What did you do about it? (Australia)

I just saw a cardiothoracic surgeon, and they were vague and dismissive, said they would have to do surgery to *maybe* find out the cause, but I'd most likely have to "just live with it".

I feel really discouraged and sad. It feels like I won't be able to do literally anything other than just walking - I'm only 50, but I can't even get out of a chair or hug my husband, let alone that I hoped to get back to yoga and bike rides and other little adventures.

What do you think I should do? Is there a special trick to finding someone with experience in recovering from extended sternotomy pain?

(Fwiw I had the surgery in the USA (mitral valve, works fantastic), and cannot access healthcare there anymore.)

Anyone know of a Bibbulmun basic resupply distances list? (I am surprised I can't find one!)

E.g. like This from the Pacific Crest Trail, including box mailing possibilities, sample:

>* California >* Campo (mile 1.4) >* Lake Morena (mile 20) >* Mount Laguna (mile 41.5) >* Julian (mile 77.3) >* Banner (mile 77.3)

Not essential but would be a bonus: resupply Distance from trail, mileage of huts.

(Obviously I could hunt around and make it myself, but I really think I've missed something here! And I'm carrying all food for two people so keen to take advantage of all possibilities)

It looks official, but I have no idea why they're doing it on my fence. Fwiw none of the neighbours have a mark like this.
