Which of these are essential and which could I do without?

I went into Boots over the weekend looking for beginner make-up advice. The lady asked me about my skincare routine, I told her I use La Roche Posay Toleraine cleanser, followed by Bondi Sands SPF30 in the morning, or a La Roche moisturiser at night.

Before she gave any make up product recommendations, she gave my face a wipe over and applied the 3 products in the photo, saying she would recommend using these before putting make-up on.

I have rosacea and a bit of bumpy textured skin.

I have 3 questions:

  1. Are any of these to be used in replacement of my suncream/moisturiser?

  2. Do I apply these only at times I want to put make-up on?

  3. Do I absolutely need all 3?

For make-up she recommended a Bare Minerals tinted moisturiser.

What was your itinerary like and how did you get around? Car hire / vespa hire / bike hire / public transport (buses, trains ferries)

Ciao!

Flying to and from Bergamo, looking to possibly get a car rental for a trip around Lake Garda. Any specific companies that are trust worthy, and also any in particular to avoid?

Grazie!

We've found a nice and fairly priced AirBnB in Brenzone Sul Garda, we're looking to see a bit of the South Lake (not too interested in amusement parks and child-friendly activities), but mainly to see the North and West too. Our list so far is Limone Sul Garda, Riva Del Garda, Malcesine and Sirmione and their surrounding areas.

We've done car rentals several times on trips now, and the cost of the rental as well as insurance, fuel and parking all really mounts up. Plus the anxiety of scratching the car and being responsible for it is enough for me, we got a tiny scratch on a car rental once that they charged us 400 for and our insurance didn't pay out either.

So would like to know if public transport for this kind of itinerary is feasible or if renting a car would be much better.

Grazie!

We've heard the Southern part of Lake Garda is a good place for those who enjoy more amusement park and child-friendly activities. We haven't got interest either of those things, we're a young couple celebrating our anniversary. We enjoy nature/beautiful scenery, mountains, old historic buildings and good food.

This is our current empty itinerary:

May 28th: Land in Bergamo 12pm, travel straight to Lake Garda

May 29th-31st: Lake Garda

June 1st: Morning in Garda then travel to Verona for the day + night

June 2nd: Morning in Verona, afternoon travel back to Bergamo for evening flight home

So I guess all of our questions are:

  1. How long should we give for the South? Half a day? A full day and night? Should we skip it entirely and just focus on the North?

  2. Should we spend the entire of day 1-4 in the same accommodation, driving out for day trips and then back again. Or should we hop around the lake in different accommodation as we go (maybe spend 2 nights in one place, and then 2 nights in another place)?

  3. Should we hire a car or rely on buses/ferries/bikes? I think my concerns with the car rental are the costs of the rental itself, the insurance, fuel, parking, as well as finding parking spots and being responsible for the car. But if public transport is going to be tricky, I'd rather have the car for ease.

  4. Any recommendations for food in any of the locations around the lake are much appreciated!

Grazie! (:
