Went to go do a thyroid uptake scan the other day but couldn’t get myself to swallow the ginormous capsule of Iodine.

The nuclear medicine department said that the pharmacy doesn’t do other forms (liquid) of the iodine and the capsule would be my only option.

I can’t bring myself to do it, we tried for almost an hour and couldn’t make it happen. It’s one of my fears and the huge pill is too much of a step up.

Does anyone know how I can find out other hospitals near me that may do liquid? Is my only option to call every hospital and ask?
