My husband and I just received news that the Montessori school our 9-yo has been attending since she was 2 years old is unexpectedly closing. Our only real option is to send her to the local public elementary school. We had planned to transition her next year or the year after, but looks like we no longer have a say in that. Any advice on what we can do to make this transition successful? We have less than two weeks before the first day of school. I'm reeling. Any advice is welcome!
