Infold’s “wait it out strategy” will do long term damage to their global image
I’ve been thinking for a few days now and it’s obvious that, with the lack of barriers now for releasing Valko, Infold’s strategy is likely to”wait out the loudest part of the controversy and quietly bring him back when things calm down” the way they did with Shaw.
The issue is that doesn’t really work outside of China (if it works in China?). Waiting out your devoted fans just makes them resentful and bitter, and after a point bringing him back won’t fix that. they will go on to tell others about their bad experience and spread the company’s reputation through word of mouth.
once again I’m left wondering if Papergames ever communicates with Infold, their global subsidiary. Do they have a global outreach advisor? Do they have anyone on staff that understands global at all? Or do they know and prioritize the domestic market anyway?
I’m left scratching my head again.
