The Greatest Simpsons Character Of All Time
Hey r/Simpsons! As you all remember, we once hosted “The Greatest Simpsons Episode Ever”, aka “TGSEE”, (the greatest episode was voted to be Marge vs The Monorail). After the success of that tournament, this summer we are hosting “The Greatest Simpsons Character Of All Time” (abbreviated: TGSC). This time, the tournament will be run similar to the FIFA World Cup. Here’s how it’ll work:
-The top 32 comments (on this post) (of different characters) will be placed in 8 groups of 4
-For the first week (Sunday-Saturday) of the tournament, there will be polls for all 8 groups, where the 2 characters that received the most votes will move on (this is the “group stage”)
-Each character will then be placed on a side of the bracket, and move on to face another character in the round of 16
-The characters that win the votes of RO16 will then face of in the Quarterfinals
-The winners of QF advance to the semifinals (“final four”)
-The losers of the semis will have a 3rd place vote
-The winners advance to the finals
-Once the finals end, the official winner and full bracket will win
The official voting to determine who makes the group stage will be on this post.
NEW: Once the group stage is completed, a bracket template will be posted where you can fill out the bracket (like a March Madness bracket). There is a reward, bragging rights (There are no prizes).
