warm water = pain?
If the water is too warm in the shower or handwashing, I get this needle stabby pain in my palms. is that normal for carpal tunnel?

My carpal tunnel issues just started about a month ago, and I've been taking it as easy as possible at work and home as I can. When your CTS just started, did you take a long break from everything and did it help? I am hoping to nip it in the bud and baby my hands until they stop hurting, but it seems to be taking a long time. I know CTS is a permanent issue until you get the surgery, but I have heard that symptoms can sort of go into "remission" for years, depending on how you treat the issue. Just curious what your guys' experiences are. Thanks!
mine have been doing this ever since CTS started, but maybe it's because i am stretching too often or too hard. now it's become SUPER easy for any hand movement, touching my palms to cause cracking sound.
Should I go for OT or PT? New carpal tunnel sufferer here .My doctor referred me to an in-hospital OT for carpal tunnel but the costs are astronomical. I thought a private practice PT is much more cost effective ($600 PT 5-visit package vs. $600-$400 for ONE VISIT at the OT). But I don't know which is really going to help me more. Thoughts?
Just wondering how fucked I might be...
All this started with a really weak grip with my dominant hand, which turned into middle finger twitching, which turned into pins and needles when using my hands/fingers for anything. Got more hand/arm symptoms quickly and bilateral, like within a week. Now I have aching forearm pain (like a tense, pulled muscle pain), upper arm pain like I got booster shots, and wrist cramping. Flares up when I use a mouse, reach out or carry stuff. Also stiffness in my neck (occasional sharp pain in the side of my neck, which flares sometimes when I am sitting down or when reaching forward with my arms), and sometimes get a pinched muscle feeling in my armpits. Pain in my elbows just started too :( Hand pain - on the top of my hands like where the bones are, really sore and tender thumb pad and nerve pain in my palms, tingling fingertips. When I tried to use a mouse for work the other day my right hand got a bit swollen. No numbness but it has become really easy to put my arms to sleep if I lie down wrong in bed, so I have to wear braces and lie on my back. Also really easy to drop small things like pencils.
I wanted to post here because it seems like I am COMPLETELY fucked all over both arms and not sure what to do. Doctor said carpal tunnel and gave me oral steroid and referred me to an OT and a PT (for neck pain and carpal tunnel both) but did not run any tests. I am an artist who draws and writes in my free time and work as a graphic designer full-time, with bad posture. Is there anyone here who has had all these issues and what were you diagnosed with, and how are you dealing with it currently? I have been taking as much of a break as possible at my job, just tried a bit of watercolor painting and within seconds my hand was in pain :( However I don't seem to have much issue with typing, not sure why.
