Remarkable Stole My Device
I purchased a Remarkable Paper Pro in 2024 when it came out. After an update at some point the screen would retain and not clear the image when viewing menus but for the most part still worked fine when viewing actual documents. Anyway I reached out to their customer support and they recommended returning the device and paying a small fee for a replacement as it was no longer under warranty.
So I sent it in and heard nothing. So I pinged customer service and they said that had received a Type Folio. I clarified with them that in the original order I also purchased a Type Folio. Anyways eventually they provided instructions on how to order a replacement device. Long story short it would cost $300. I decided to go for it just to be done with it but their web form doesn’t accept Visa cards. So I then just asked them to send my device back but they now say they only received a type folio and refuse to honor my request. Basically they have stolen my device / are holding it ransom over an additional $300 purchase.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? It’s absolutely insane.
