Full trailer out for Earle Meets World

TLDW; she teases addressing the Cooper drama (but I bet we still won’t get much beyond “there were some business deals that were kind of shady, and I’ll leave it at that”

And that’s it really… she cries over Braxton and they discuss her moms cancer diagnosis

I will prob watch out of curiousity. And honestly I want a good reality show?! So hoping it is good?

Rage Bait Allegations: Halley Kate claiming to have never had a hot dog

Also doesn’t she claim she’s from middle class? Like who’s 26 years old in America and never had a hot dog?

Also, she only showed us one bite… so pretty sure she didn’t finish it 🌭

So… what do we think?

What even is reality tv anymore!!! Nothing will beat original KUWTK/Jersey Shore but what is this show supposed to show us?!

Hot take: PL (excuse me, now PP) posting the “No Influencers” sign and the reaction it’s getting is exactly why they put the sign up

This post was removed by moderators from the original r/nycinfluencersnark page*

I’ve never been to Nantucket, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I believe the “viral” reaction and discourse caused by Paige Lorenze posting that “No Influencers” sign is exactly why they don’t want influencers and hung the sign to begin with!!!

I can safely assume that Fair Winds did not want to attract the attention that influencers attract…. As simple as that. Talk to any New Yorker that isn’t an influencer (honestly even influencers themselves)… no one wants to share when they find a great bagel spot, or coffee shop or perfect dive bar online because they know TikTok culture has ruined authentic NYC places. All of my friends have a story of a favorite spot getting “discovered” by an influencer and then all of a sudden… what made that spot great is ruined. All of a sudden there’s a line around the corner and/or it’s impossible to get into and/or the crowd becomes absolutely insufferable (as everyone is there just to post, and to not actually enjoy).

As someone who has lived in this city for 14 years (from 21 > 35), I can write a novel about the “old New York” before internet fads. I’m actually happy this conversation is happening and I hope more small businesses focus on attracting REAL customers who want to pay/be a part of a community instead of attracting influencers who want everything for free and just want a photo op.

Low level snark… but is this the new influencer soft launch?

Is this Landon Barker? She keeps going on planes and talking about a “boy” and how the “boy” always cutely roasts her because she’s so weird/unique/different/black cat energy/whatever other bullshit alt words she calls herself (and no one else calls her)

Sorry, sorority sister to indie alt girl who doesn’t even read/watch movies/create original work just bothers me

And just like that… I’m irritated

WHY are we gifting wealthy woman with means designer items to advertise a $20 lip oil… like make it make sense

The unanimous Ashtin hate gives me hope for the influencer bubble to burst

Like maybe society will slowly stop giving anyone with followers brand deals/access to premiere spaces because they really are just try-hard/lame/copycats of other aesthetics and they’re not who the majority of people care for/want to buy from? Idk wild thinking.

I just love that ppl are snarking in her comment section like not even hiding their identity lol

u/snarkymcsnarkey — 2 months ago

The other Acquired is in denial that her ID glow up IS the result of expensive/often filler, Botox & beauty products

“Like guys, I just grew up” where your lip thickness, hair dye job and clenched jaw is like the biggest change?!

u/snarkymcsnarkey — 2 months ago

Wtf is this

This annoys me and I cringe looking at it. What is she even going for? Does she think everyone doesn’t see her for what she is (a try hard)?

To those who snark on snarking…

Lately I’ve seen an influx of comments criticizing the existence of snark pages altogether. Which makes me wonder… why are you here then?

The main argument seems to be: “Just unfollow them.”

Okay. Sure. But as a certified hater, how are people supposed to critique something they know nothing about? Observing culture, influencers, trends, public figures, etc. is part of forming an opinion in the first place.

Movie critics watch the movie.
Music reviewers listen to the album.
People discussing influencers are obviously going to look at the content.

Blind hatred without context is actually way weirder.
And yes, women are often hyper-aware of each other. Whether that comes from social conditioning, insecurity, competition, patriarchy, adolescence, media… it exists. Pretending otherwise while actively participating in snark culture feels dishonest.

I also think there’s a difference between obsession and observation. Following someone doesn’t automatically mean admiration. Sometimes people follow because that person is culturally relevant, influential, fascinating, annoying, delusional, entertaining, or all of the above.

Back in 2016, I remember wanting to watch Trump speeches even though I fundamentally disagreed with him politically. Not because I was being “won over,” but because avoiding influential people entirely just creates a bubble. There’s value in observing things critically and forming your own opinion.

And at the end of the day, snark pages are community spaces. People gather around shared commentary on influencers who clearly hold some level of cultural power and attention. One hate-follow isn’t changing anyone’s income when these creators openly say they block thousands of people a year anyway.

End rant.

Not NYC but interesting the dialogue happening around “influencer work” vs “real” work

I’m not going to pretend influencing isn’t a job because it is. You’re editing videos, writing content, coming up with compelling creative and essentially doing it EVERY day. But comparatively, the amount of work vs what you get paid makes the job “easy”. A lot of people do those exact tasks for marketing firms/brand creative and are paid $40-60k a year with worse benefits and worse hours and no autonomy and independence (having to answer to someone else every day etc)
James Charles Spirit airlines and Jaz defending her Birkins/over consumption and then coming on here DEFENDING it or doubling down like they’ve really earned it as opposed to just getting lucky? (They showed up everyday but they also got lucky)

Jaz “works hard” and is in complete denial of her need to keep up with the Jonses

Also she gives such boy mom energy that I bet she’ll get like three boys 😭
