NUS houses
Hi everyone! I am considering staying on campus specifically NUS houses as there is no meal plans & rlly love the room layout and location in comparison to hall/rc
My current consideration is btw helix or pioneer house and I have a couple of qns!
May I know is there a difference in demand? (I'm assuming pioneer house may have higher demand as they are more established?)
How's the application process like? Any interviews needed etc?
Is there major differences in terms of culture btw these 2 houses?
Is it easier to get a spot as a Year 1 freshie? Or am I able to try staying on campus in Year 2 instead (possibly higher workload so makes more sense staying on campus)
Would y'all recommend going for Aircon or non-aircon rooms? Is Helix and Pioneer windy enough to stay non-aircon?
and possibly the most impt qn,, roughly how many spots are there available for each house? Is there enough for everyone or is rejection rate v high?
Thank you! Any input would be helpful 🙏🏼
