Partial drop from DU Life Sciences for UCEED (July to Jan). Is it realistic?

Hey everyone, I need some advice on my current plan. I want to get into UI/UX Design but can't afford expensive private colleges. My goal is to join the BSc Life Sciences program at Delhi University this year for safety, and prepare for UCEED side-by-side to crack a top-tier government college (like IITs or DTU) where the fees will be manageable. If I crack it, I'll drop out of DU and start fresh.

I have a few major worries about this:

The Timeline: Is the window from July to January enough time to prepare and crack UCEED from scratch while managing a regular college load?

The Schedule: I know BSc Life Sciences is lab-heavy and intensive. Will it get too hectic to find consistent daily time for design prep?

Discipline: How can I stay focused on design while sitting in a traditional science course?

Anxiety: I’m terrified of what happens if I don't crack it and get stuck in a BSc.

Would love your honest perspective on whether this is manageable. Thanks!
