I did a test on how far you can get with each tower on Borderlands.
I know that certain towers would result in you losing before you can afford them, like Zed and Rail, so I will have Soldier Tuber but sell it once the tower is placed for towers that cost over $2,072 (the amount in which you will die by the time you afford it). I will mention the wave then what leaked and caused me to lose. I will not include event towers since I don't have all of them and I won't include golden towers since I don't have either of the 2.
I am aware I most likely didn't get the furthest possible for some towers, as I am not a god at using them. Infact, if you want to, you can try to do better than me! Keep in mind, no supports.
Scout- Wave 25, Lost to Hidden Boss (New Best) (Can Be Improved)
Fragger- Wave 22, Lost to Boss2
Sniper- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning (New Best)
Shotgunner- Wave 17, Lost to Hidden
Cryo Gunner- Wave 8, Lost to Speedy
Farm- Wave 6, Lost to Speedy
Soldier- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning (Can Be Improved)
Tuber- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning (killed a few more lightnings so New Best)
Mortar- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning (insert what was after tuber here)
Patrol- Wave 27, Lost to Hidden Boss (New Best by a whole wave, also lightnings finally defeated)
Enforcer- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning (i hear ppl saying its trash but its not THAT trash)
Barracks- Wave 25, Lost to Lava (a hidden boss on wave 24 brought me to 2 base hp but i smh survived. didnt even damage lightnings)
Aviator- Wave 22, Lost to Boss2
Flamethrower- Wave 14, Lost to Boss1
Mercenary- Wave 26, Lost to Lightning
Marksman- Wave 27, Lost to Lightning (New Best, got to second lightning rush)
Commando- Wave 27, Lost to Lightning (yet again second rush)
Commander- Wave 6, Lost to Speedy
Anarchist- Wave 13, Lost to Hidden (btw my tier list doesnt have it)
DJ- Wave 6, Lost to Speedy
Railgunner- Wave 14, Lost to Hidden (Needed Tuber, first purchased on Wave 8)
Plasma Trooper- Wave 22, Lost to Boss2 (Can Be Improved)
Phaser- Wave 14, Lost to Hidden (Needed Tuber, first purchased on Wave 11)
Zed- Wave 28, Lost to Lightning (Needed Tuber, first purchased on Wave 14) (Almost beat the second lightning rush)
Graveyard- Wave 24, Lost to Lava
Tweeter- Wave 14, Lost to Hidden
Snowballer- Wave 14, Lost to Hidden
Patrioteer- Wave 17, Lost to Summon
btw i replaced soldier for tuber for towers i couldnt afford in time since with tuber i could relax as it did everything and with soldier i had to constantly upgrade. also for people planning to do this yourself, on stuff that need tuber, sell tuber as soon as you get the tower you are focusing on placed.
tbh i wanna mark it strategy but idk if it would fit
Also, I would like it if someone in the comments added golden towers, as I don't have them. I only put in towers I can use.
