I got an offer to do a masters program here that I'm excited to do, but I'm a little self conscious about my age. I'm a few years older than most people would be when doing masters and I'm worried I'm not going to be able to make friends and build proper social circles and relationships. Is this seen as a big deal in Uppsala or if it more likely most people won't care?

I've heard it said that electromagnetism and the nuclear forces can be described via curvature in a similar way that GR describes gravity, but instead of being a literal curvature in spacetime it's a more abstract curvature in the gauge field of the force.

I know the Higg's mechanism isn't a fundamental force but that still got me thinking, is it possible even in an abstract way to describe it using curvature as well? And if it is, would it be a curve in the Higg's field or in something else?
