I’ve tried just about everything else and these are my last options. I’ve gone to two specialists in my area and was quoted about 5k for splints, and both seemed convinced that would help me.

I’m skeptical that it will help at all, and I don’t want to pay 5k. I’ve already spent around $3000 on things like consults, physical therapy and a night guard, all to no avail.

My symptoms are lockjaw to two fingers unless I move my jaw forward to open my mouth, pain when talking/laughing for more than an hour, pain while eating, flossing etc. and clicking of course.

Should I just go for the splints and eat the massive cost, or try botox first?
