Should i buy now the discounted XG32UCWMG or wait for the next gen oleds?

Hey everyone, I’d like to hear some opinions.

I know this question gets asked a lot, but hey, what’s the harm in asking it one more time?

I currently have the ASUS XG27ACDNG, a 1440p 360Hz QD-OLED monitor. I’m running an RTX 5080 and a Ryzen 9 9850X3D. When I bought the monitor about a year ago, I was playing a lot of Valorant, so the XG27ACDNG made perfect sense because of the high refresh rate and because it was all I needed for competitive gaming.

Since then, my gaming habits have changed quite a bit. I barely play Valorant anymore, and I’ve mostly shifted toward story-driven single-player games. For a while now, I’ve been thinking about selling my current monitor and moving to a 4K display. It feels like my RTX 5080 is somewhat wasted on a 1440p monitor, and I certainly don’t need 360Hz to play games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077.

My question is: should I buy a 4K monitor now, or wait for the upcoming tandem OLED panels?

My concern is that when the tandem OLED monitors launch, they’ll likely cost €1,200+ before shipping, assuming they’re even available during the first few months after release.

What would you do in my situation?
