How to tell the difference.

I took a quick couple pictures and then used Seek to try and identify it. It came back with both. Trying to get a better ID. Thanks.

This was in our front yard. Initially thought that it was maybe from a dog but our neighbors have cameras and didn't see anyone walking a dog. We know it showed up in the last 36 hours and she didn't see anyone during that time. So we're wondering if it's possible that a wild animal left it behind. (Pun intended!) Does anyone have any idea of what could have left it? The stick next to it was about 5ish inches.
