Edited to add that I really can't stand Russell. The very first time he got her on her own he was pressuring her for physical intimacy, trying to touch her breasts, begging for more kisses, encouraging her to stay out later and later, etc. He even pretended he couldn't see his watch face in the dark when she asked him what time it was.
