Am I giving my puppy enough water

For context, I have a 3 month old Australian shepherd that I’ve had for 23 days. My routine consists of crating him, taking him out for an hour and within that hour we are walking, eating, training for 5-10 minutes, playing, walking again. Then in the crate for 2 hrs. If he’s out longer, he’s put in the crate for that amount of time, and same if he’s out for a shorter amount of time. During this time, he has free access to water.
For the past few days, I’ve been increasing his amount outside of the crate to transition him out. I started school about a week ago, so he’s crated from 8 am to 3:30 pm. He has not shown any difference in behavior, has not had any accidents in the crate, and has been used to it. I also let him stay out longer on days I have school too. He can hold his pee throughout the entire night (8 hrs at minimum) without any crying or whining. I am an extremely light sleeper so I would hear him if he did, and I have an alarm set every 2 hrs to check anyways.

I’m worried he’s not getting enough water, there have been 2 instances where he’s literally licking the rain water, and I feel extremely guilty. He runs straight to the water once he’s out and gulps it down. I refill and leave it for him until he’s crated. I don’t wanna leave it in his crate because he had a habit of idk getting bored maybe? and just tipping it over. With the summer coming up, anytime we go on walks he’s immediately panting and I feel so bad. Is he getting enough water? What should I do or change? Is this normal?

Good exam scores but can’t recall

I’m in my 3rd quarter of didactic, and I’ve been performing relatively well compared to my previous quarters with mostly low As and a few high Bs. I am able to recall high yield info better than I did last quarter, but I still feel like I don’t remember anything. For example, I just took my endo exam like 2 weeks ago, I scored pretty well. We had a PBL today & I couldn’t remember the treatment for cushings for the life of me, but I could for hyper/hypothyroid. We’re doing renal rn, and I couldn’t remember how to calculate the bun creatinine ratio and which values indicate pre/post injury (we learned last quarter) but I know for stuff like that I can look at my notes and remember it for like a solid week until we move on to a different speciality lol. We have quizzes covering the first few weeks of pharm material and than an exam for everything & I scored so well on the quiz but couldn’t remember MOAs or clinical pearls for the material when I was studying for the exam. I know the whole pumping and dumping process is very normal in PA school, but I truly feel like I don’t know ANYTHINGG! I feel like it’s gonna catch up with me soon and I’m either gonna fail didactic or perform so poorly during clinicals that I get kicked out.
