Is there any hope for this Amaryllis?
I got this Amaryllis from my Grandma around January. Someone had gifted her one of those waxed amaryllis bulbs and after it bloomed she threw it away. I pulled it out of the garbage and took the wax casing off and brought it home. It had some rot and possible fungus on it so I cut off those parts and covered it in cinnamon because I heard that helps with fungus. I left it out in the open to for a few days and then set it on top of some soil in a pot. It grew roots so I just replanted it but took pictures before replanting it because it does not look good.
This is the second amaryllis I’ve attempted to rescue. The first was doing good until I brought it inside for winter and put it in the dark basement. It got so much red fungus stuff it could not recover and died. I was very upset about this because it was my Grandpa’s last plant he was gifted before he died (it was also a waxed bulb). I am not good with plants at all and would like to know if there is any hope for this plant and how to care for it if there is. Thanks!
