Rookie mistake
Just bought my first pair of IEMs (Moondrop Chu II) primarily for gaming and I was pretty disappointed by the sound quality and the sound stage itself (couldn’t locate steps at all). Due to the very short default cable I used the FRONT ports of my case. I ordered an extension cable, but it took longer to arrive than the iems. When the extension cable arrived I tried the BACK ports of my case and what should I say? They sound amazing! Coming from DT 770 Pros they aren’t obviously not as good as them, but for 25€ they sound damn amazing.
Sound stage is pretty clear now, bass exists and in general they sound pretty clean. I’m not advanced enough to give a thorough review, but for everyday use I actually already prefer the Moondrop Chu II over my Beyerdynamics as I don’t have this annoying dent in my head :D
Take away of the story: We should forbid the front ports of computer cases :D
