Hello, my partner and I (33F, 35M) just moved to Geelong a couple months ago. We both work for Barwon Health but not really finding connections at work, and I’d also like to disconnect from work and have friends outside of it. But we’re really struggling and still feeling super isolated here. Where do people socialise here? We’ve done some pickle ball which was fun but maybe not consistent enough to form connections. We enjoy a drink or two, nothing crazy, hiking, anything really. Also enjoy arts and culture, or getting involved with volunteer work. Any advice would be great!

Just looking at the distribution matrix for my GP preferences and freaking out. Every single one of my preferences is oversubscribed. Is this normal?

I can only apply rurally, and these are the ones most oversubscribed, whereas the general pathway seems fine. Why is this?

Is it like this every year? Or is the demand for RACGP training super high this year?
