recently, i was told by a close friend of mine, that her bf had violated hipaa. he is a nursing student at wcu and works as a caregiver. on multiple accounts, he had taken photos of patients, one being a transgender patient in a vulnerable position, and sent them in a group chat with friends. initially i wanted to report him (i still do). i feel like im the only one who’s taking this situation seriously and there are a couple of people just brushing it off like it’s not something to report. please tell me im not insane.
