Trouble with the last string
I started recently playing the uke and following tutorials, it's going well but I don't understand if I'm doing something wrong or not.
When I press down the A string on the fretboard from the 5th fret on, I can't hit the string anymore when strumming and just miss it. It's as if the string goes too low for me to comfortably hit unless I purposely angle the strumming hand to go further inside the uke to hit it or strum harder but it sounds and feels worse overall.
And on top of that, the A string sounds very weak (I don't how to better describe it), even when finger picking without pressing any notes. Even when I manage to hit all strings it's as if the A string is barely playing or not playing at all (and I always check for muted strings). Though this may just be normal uke behavior but I have no way to compare it with other ukes in person.
I've tried "noodling" by playing around the A string but if I can't strum it or hear it it's kinda hard to do..
