After playing a pivotal role in solving a murder case perpetrated by a famous photographer, a humble camera store clerk decides to take on the forces of crime. After discovering that police work might not be right for him, he finds his own way to protect and serve by joining the Coroner’s Office. There, he continues to interact with the very lieutenant who inspired him on that fateful day in the camera store.

After a discourteous encounter with the Lieutenant, a humble DMV employee reevaluated his life and decides to go back to medical school. After earning his medical degree a few years later, our new doctor decides to have a little fun at the expense of our queasy detective, who doesn't seem to recognize him.

Seems a little irritated with the Lieutenant at the crash site in the beginning, but in that very scene he starts to realize Columbo's genius
