Non-School DSE applicant, ex-UC Berkeley reject, HKU Social Science in-person Interview
Hi everyone, this is JSL, and this is the first time I use Reddit, I really dunno how is it but I just give a try and open mind to it.
I was once a dropout (May 2024 - Aug 2025) but entered the community college again last September. I applied for HKU-UC Berkeley Dual Degree last December but rejected by UC Berkeley. This time HKU invited me for the in-person interview in July.
Btw, I attended the HKU Urban Studies interview on May 21 as well, I ain't perform very good but at least I tried my best, thank y'all on Reddit cause I read a lot of suggestions from Reddit for prepartion before the interview.
Now, by estimation, the procedure will be:
1 Self intro,
2 Personal questions (like why you dropped out? why you choose HKU?)
3 Academic Q&A (Maybe some hot topics in HK these days, like the $2 scheme, ban social media for under 16, Northern Metropolis University Town, etc I guess)
Re: May I humbly I ask for some interview tips?
I will strive on it, thanks everyone!!
