kaiser Vs Moda

Hello! I’ve been using Providence for a while, and since it’s no longer an option, I have no idea which plan to pick! 😭 Can you please recommend one? I’m in the Beaverton/Tigard area, so I’m hoping I have some good in-network options nearby. Thanks!

INTERNAL ODHS TRANSFER

I have a quick question. Can a current ODHS employee accept a job offer for a new position and then accept another job offer within one week?

Hypertension after having a kidney stone

March of last year, i went to the hospital for an extremely severe pain in my back, had a CT and they said I had a 5mm kidney stone. My bp was 200/121. They gave me meds that lowered it a bit and then put me on Amlodipine 5mg and they said i showed take it until i pass my stone. I was sent home and two days later i passed the stone, but my blood pressure was still insanely high 181/120.

As a 28 yo i was freaking out and then I went to my PCP who gave me a higher dose of amlodipine but did nothing!

A year later, I was still suffering from HBP and i ended up going to the doctor last month and I told him all that happened (a different pcp) and he put me on Lisinopril and
Hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg/12.5mg and my blood pressure went down to 120/80. Dr said to cut salt to 1500mg a day, stop smoking and start doing some sports. After that visit, i followed my pcp’s advice and my bp is still acting up under medication, three days ago i was admitted to the hospital for hypotension and i thought i was dying!!

Today, i had another visit with my pcp and he said to eat salt again?! He didn’t cut the dose to my meds.

I am now wondering if I can ever get off the medications because neither my family nor me have a history of high blood pressure.

That’s my story with hbp, looking forward to seeing your guys’s story with the meds.
