Integrity Check & Student Debt

Hi all,

I’m competing an Integrity Check, and I’m concerned about a student overdraft that is defaulted on from 2020 during COVID. I’ve just done a TransUnion check on myself, and that’s the only thing that’s flagged up.

I’ve moved across 5 properties in 5ish years in London as a student, and recently moved back to Manchester. The correspondence etc was with my old halls of residence I stayed in. As soon as I saw it on my file, I’ve reached out to Santander to try and resolve it with a payment plan.

Will this affect the outcome of my application? It’s entry level if that makes any difference. All other checks have come back completely clear.

Thank you all so much!

Provisional Offer - Verifying History

Hi!

Following on my previous post, I’ve been given a provisional offer! I’m so excited - thank you all *SO* much for your advice and tips, I ended up scoring 14/16 on my behaviours when I thought I’d completely tanked them! I also scored a 7 on my Behaviours which shocked me so much, and it was all down to your tips!

I’m just filling out my pre-employment checks, and wanted to ask regarding referees to verify my history. I left London a year ago, and was in my previous role for 2 years prior. Would I be okay to put down my manager, supervisor and best friend? Or another employee at the company who I worked closely with?

Sorry if this seems super basic!

Thank you so much again!

I had my interview for an AO role and felt like my behaviours were strong, I followed STARR and used the full time, and worked on using key language and my examples aligned with what they were looking for in the job description.

However, I feel like I messed up the strength based questions! They threw me off and I felt like I just rambled and didn’t use the full 2 minutes because I was overwhelmed. It’s my first CS interview and they started it off with strengths.

I had a really lovely rapport with the interviewers and they didn’t ask too many follow up questions apart from my final behaviour when I ran out of time.

I felt really prepared and now it’s thrown me off. I have another interview next week in the same department for a different position so I’m going to work on strengths.

Does anyone have any advice to reassure me?
