A TV channel setup

Hello everyone,

I've been playing around with tunarr. It's a fantastic concept and my compliments to the people behind it.

I would like to setup a tv channel,a fun little project for my toddler with kids shows, that would have three things:

The most important: everytime I click on the channel a custom intro video would start off the channel, then 30-60 mins of content and then finish with a custom outro.

- it would play only when I click on it, but I would set it up for 7pm

- it would be usable with Android tv jellyfin.

I am mainly concerned about the first thing, setting up a custom intro and outro with randomised content every day.

The idea behind this project is to ride the nostalgia train with my kid and have the experience I had 30 years ago, when our regular tv channels would show stories for children in the evening before bed.

Would this be achievable with tunarr?

Thank you

Jellyfin TV channel setup

Hi everyone,

I would like to set up a mock TV channel for my child. I have dozens of TV Shows on my server, but I would like something that would be automated. There are only three crucial things I desperately need it to have.

It must start playing only after I click on the channel and randomise the episodes.

Each day when I start the channel it would play a custom intro, then certain amount of content, then outro.

It would have to work on android tv jellyfin version.

Does anyone know about anything that would work like this?

Thank you for any help.

David Attenborough’s aspirated, overly dramatic narration style ruins modern nature documentaries.

I know he is a national treasure. I know he has been doing this for decades and has earned his legendary status. But I’m just going to say it: David Attenborough’s narration style has become completely unlistenable.

As a biology teacher, every time I open an engaging wildlife video, the experience is stained by his aspirated, over-the-top voice. He adds a lot of dramatic pauses per story, and it genuinely sounds like he is fighting for every breath he takes (I realised he is very old at this point) . The delivery has become so forced and exaggerated that it completely overshadows the actual animals on screen.

Just once, I would welcome a normal, even "boring" voice of someone who can describe a predator hunting without trying to turn it into a Shakespearean drama.

At this point, it is purely because of his aura, his persona, and admittedly deserved worship he gets from the masses that he keeps getting these gigs. Strictly looking at the audio delivery, he should no longer be voicing these nature videos.
