I Made a Metronome I Love, But Nobody Uses It — Why?
Hello everyone,
I created two browser-based metronomes a little over a year ago, mainly because I wanted tools that fit the way I practise.
One is a simple metronome with presets, subdivisions, different sounds, and shareable BPM settings.
The other has all that, and is an accelerating metronome, which I use to work on speed gradually.
I personally use them a lot, and I find them genuinely useful. And cool. But almost nobody else seems to use them, so I’m clearly missing something.
I’m not posting the links here because I don’t want this to be promotional.
I’d just love some honest feedback from musicians:
What would make you not use a new metronome tool?
For example:
- Do you already have one and never look for another?
- Are browser metronomes annoying?
- Are presets and subdivisions actually useful, or not really?
- Is an accelerating metronome something you would use?
- What would make you immediately close the page?
- What feature would make you think, “Oh, that’s actually useful”?
Absolutely any answer would help me improve them.
Thanks a lot!
