I Made a Metronome I Love, But Nobody Uses It — Why?

Hello everyone,

I created two browser-based metronomes a little over a year ago, mainly because I wanted tools that fit the way I practise.

One is a simple metronome with presets, subdivisions, different sounds, and shareable BPM settings.

The other has all that, and is an accelerating metronome, which I use to work on speed gradually.

I personally use them a lot, and I find them genuinely useful. And cool. But almost nobody else seems to use them, so I’m clearly missing something.

I’m not posting the links here because I don’t want this to be promotional.

I’d just love some honest feedback from musicians:

What would make you not use a new metronome tool?

For example:

  • Do you already have one and never look for another?
  • Are browser metronomes annoying?
  • Are presets and subdivisions actually useful, or not really?
  • Is an accelerating metronome something you would use?
  • What would make you immediately close the page?
  • What feature would make you think, “Oh, that’s actually useful”?

Absolutely any answer would help me improve them.

Thanks a lot!

I Made a Metronome I Love, But Nobody Uses It — Why?

Hello everyone,

A little over a year ago, I created two metronomes that I personally really like.

I use them almost every day in my own practice, and I find them cool, and genuinely useful.

But it seems like almost nobody else is using them, so I’m probably missing something.

Here are them:

https://youcoolele.com/en/120/great-simple-metronome

https://youcoolele.com/en/121/accelo-metronome <- accelerating one, I use it to work my speed

I've tried to add many useful stuff.

But apparently, that’s still not enough to make people want to use it.

So I’d love some honest feedback:

Why wouldn’t you use this metronome?

What feels wrong, unclear, annoying, unnecessary, or missing?

How could it be improved?

Absolutely any answer would help me.

Thanks a lot!
