What’s the best product to reseal chimney flashing on a mountain cabin?
TL;DR: Need to reseal chimney flashing (red highlight in pic) on a mountain cabin — heavy snow/freeze-thaw, hot summers. Previous owner used Henry 308 (driveway crack repair) and Henry 208R (roof cement), neither seems flashing-specific. Looking for the right product.
Bought a cabin in the Wasatch mountains (~8,700 ft). Found two half-used tubes in the shed I think the previous owner used here:
**•** Henry 308 Driveway Elastomeric Crack Repair
**•** Henry 208R Wet Patch Roof Cement (SBS rubber modified)
Neither seems ideal for flashing specifically. Looking for something that’ll actually hold up through real freeze-thaw and UV, not just patch over it. Butyl tape, proper flashing sealant, something else?
Appreciate any input from people who’ve dealt with this at altitude.
