It was a cloudy day to start, but it didn’t take long for the sun to take over and rule the day. Although it was warm when I went out to take my photos, it felt much warmer, and I felt really hot. It was strange because being on the water, it usually feels much cooler. It was a very quiet day where I didn’t do too much. I got my knitting done, and took a long time with the dog. Tonight we watched the Red Sox win their second game in a row. Here’s hoping they are back on track. Be safe out there.

It was warmer today than yesterday, but I did take some time to sit out on the deck and enjoy the sunshine with Mike and our dog Gus. When I began to get very warm I finished taking my photos, and retreated to the house. A huge tanker left the Fire River today. I am sharing a picture of the massive ship, the NEW ENGLAND, sailing under the flag of the Marshall Islands. It was guided by two rugs, but I couldn’t get their names. Be safe out there.

It was a warm day, and with little wind it felt hot in the sun on the deck. It was a quiet day, and the Red Sox played this afternoon. I didn’t watch the game, so they won 7-0 of course. Tonight we watched the Little League World Series playoff game with Massachusetts playing Maine. Massachusetts won 8-0, so they will continue to the next stage of the playoffs in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. I’m always ready for more baseball. Be safe out there.

We went out on the deck with our special glasses to see the solar eclipse. It was a partial eclipse here, and just a small scoop was covered by the moon, but we came inside and watched CNN which showed us the total eclipse from other places in the world. We probably won’t see the Perseid Meteor Showers tonight due to clouds moving in, but we may try tomorrow when it will be clear. The sky is full of wonders at this time of year. Be safe out there.

The high temperature on the coast was 84°, and without much of a breeze it was pretty warm on the deck late this afternoon when I went out. There were two sailboats out by Hull Gut today, but otherwise there wasn’t really a lot of traffic except the lonely boat heading home in the Fore River. The Red Sox just lost their 2rd game in a row to Toronto, who is dead last in the standings. Here’s hoping this won’t grow into a streak like the winning streak we had. Be safe out there.

There also weren’t any wasps due to the wind, so I could take some extra time outside. It was a day of successful phone calls with Home Depot finally realizing we did pay what they said was an overdue bill on time. We also had a phone call with the pharmacist who finally found the authorization for my new medication, and we can pick it up tomorrow. We had a phone call with our older son and his family, which was wonderful, with our grandson participating and telling us about his week at soccer camp. It was a very good day. Be safe out there.

I am on medication for my arm pain which makes me very sleepy, but it is doing wonders to treat the pain. For now, I’m okay with that. Be safe out there.

to show the temperature was 80°. It was another mostly cloudy in Wessagussett, and it was a hot, and very humid. It was a quiet day, but going out to take photos was oppressive. The humidity building simply made it difficult to be outside. Even being out for a short time was pretty unbearable. The bad news is the next few days are supposed to get progressively worse. I’m glad we don’t have to travel anywhere and be outside. Tonight we watched the Red Sox game and it was an ordeal. It went 13 innings, with the White Sox scoring at least a run during their times at bat, but the Red Sox always came back and tied the score. In the 13th inning they finally broke through and won the game. This team is unbelievable. They are building another winning streak, and since July they have won 30 of 35 games. I don’t know how a team that began so dismally, has become such a juggernaut, but it is so much fun watching them play. Be safe out there.

It does have a crossbody strap which I’ll be using almost always. Mike bought me three nightgown, so I can expand my rotation. I went out to take photos when the temps were still in the 80s, and once again it was stifling. I’m not looking forward to the next three days when it will hit the 90s with the humidity rising daily.
