Your take on Ditto?

I had looked into the options beforehand but their agents wouldn’t assist with certain plans offered by the same company. Even among the plans they recommended, they wouldn’t allow me to add some of the riders I wanted. Also, when considering coverage for multiple family members, they recommended a family floater rather than multi individual thing mainly because it would reduce the overall premium. I’m wondering whether these recommendations are genuinely based on what they consider best for the customer or whether they are influenced by their own restrictions or the plans they are authorized to sell.

Help me choose a plan for my mother (48)

She is prediabetic (HbA1c 6.2%) and has been on amlodipine for about a year with a history of hyperlipidemia. There is no history of any previous hospitalization.
I’m looking to keep the sum insured in the range of 10–15 lakh along with a rider to reduce the waiting period for critical illnesses.
Would it be better to opt for an annual policy and renew it every year or to go for a multi year plan?
Any recommendations, advice, or personal experiences regarding the same will be much appreciated.
