hey yall

i’m trying to transition into remote SaaS onboarding/customer success roles and wanted to see if my background makes sense for it.

I have degrees in Business Leadership and Music Studies/Education, and I currently work as a Business Analyst where I track KPIs, build dashboards/reports, improve workflows, analyze operational data, and work cross-functionally with leadership and operations teams.

I use tools like Salesforce, Jira, Asana, SQL, Power BI, Excel, and Slack.

Before this, I worked in program operations/music education where I handled scheduling, communication, performance tracking, and coordination across large groups and programs.

I don’t have direct SaaS onboarding experience yet, but a lot of the work feels transferable.

For people already in SaaS:
Does this background fit onboarding/implementation roles?

What titles should I target?

Are remote onboarding roles super competitive right now?

Would appreciate any advice.
