Contractor using Selleys Storm Sealant on unpainted external balcony windows - is this wrong?

Body Corp/OC had a contractor reseal some external balcony window joints (apartment building, VIC) using Selleys Storm Sealant.

Windows are aluminium framed, fully exposed to weather, and will NOT be painted.

Looking at Selleys' own site, Storm's limitations list "full paint cover needed for durability" and it's described as a roof & gutter emergency leak-repair product, not a true window/glazing sealant.

Selleys also sells a "Pro Trade Glass Silicone" that's specifically made for glazing/window sealing and doesn't need paint.

Does it seem reasonable to push back and ask why Storm was used instead of a proper glazing silicone?

Anyone in the trade dealt with this - is Storm genuinely a bad call here, or am I overreacting?

Keen for real-world experience before I go back to the OC/building manager on it.
