York YCIV drain valve
A coworker and I recently replaced a drain valve on a YCIV from the old to the new style and it kept tripping on low superheat. We found a bulletin that the wires need to be reversed so we switched red and white and then switched black and green. This allows us to now properly actuate the valve manually at any percentage, but when put in Operation it doesn’t open and stays at 0% until it trips again on low superheat.
We opened it to 30% and unwired it to leave it there and tried running the system and it ran fine from there. What are we missing? It seems like the unit just refuses to call the valve to open for some reason.
EDIT: all transducers and thermistors are verified accurate. I found the suction transducer was bad on start up but that’s been replaced and issue remains. Charge was weighed in after repairs, and we verified the valve does move from 0-100% and back from 100%-0 in service mode in increments of 5% at a time.
