Is there any chance of getting back to normal - like pre-normal?

Ever since I've been cracked open certain things don't feel right. Example - stretching at night before bed - you know just a really good stretch while in bed right before you close your eyes and that stretch helps "break" something that just lets you fall asleep, or getting that perfect yawn that deep one that just lets everything go. Well a couple of days after the issues with my donor leg were done -i started having issues with my two big toes (ingrown toenails) and for the life of me I can't seem to get a good night's sleep. The stretching is off and I can't yawn for shit 😡. Does being sliced open and your sternum cracked really truly break something inside that can't be fixed or is there hope that it just takes time to get back to factory settings - or is the warranty truly voided if the seal is broken. I still have other things to complain about but those are the two biggest ones right now

Generes who gets to/where are the lines drawn

Ok so this has been eating at me for some type me now. Who or where are the lines drawn for the different genres there are. Example (and I'm going to take the heat for this) Black Sabbath isn't heavy metal - they are more hard rock. The same thing with radio stations WKRP rock "We play all the Rock" then they go and play something like 311 (reggae based, not even close to rock), or they'll play some sublime (again more reggae) now to me those aren't rock bands and shouldn't be played in said station.

What are the qualifications for a heavy metal band - is it tempo, lyrics, or content? If not in my book Sabbath isn't metal then what makes say Metallica metal or Megadeth? Where are the lines for hip-hop and rap, country and bluegrass, or insert genere here. Where are the gatekeepers and do they have the rules written down or is it just a free-for-all in the subject and we are at the whims of society. Are sub-geners ok to be in the main, or should they be cast out. Are we allowed to have our own classifications and say screw the mainstream opinions (my camp) or is there a grey area that can't be seen? Let me know what you think 🤔

Donor leg issues??

7 weeks out from a triple bypass and I'm starting to wonder if my donor leg will ever be normal again. I'm not sure if the surgeons used a different technique when getting the replacement artery - but the wound that they cut into my leg wasn't the typical 7-8 inch gash but rather a very small 2" gash -- that for some reason would not seal/heal right. Well due to that fact I've been seeing a wound care specialist and finally after several weeks of having my leg wrapped is now free from the wraps but ---------- now my leg is swollen again and the Dr from the wound care did mention that I would need to wear compression socks for the rest of my life. I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had a similar experience (with the swelling) and if over time the swelling/bloating has gone down??? Is it common to have swelling/bloating for the rest of time due to the removal of the arteries??

Songs with an End of the world vibe or life just sucks😆

Ok so I've been having some thoughts listening to certain songs and noticed that they have a slight darker apocalypse vibe/life just sucks right now.

Outhouse - Jimmy's Chicken Shack

Sundance - Sam Roberts

One of these Days - Spacehog

This Wreck of a Life - Sam Roberts

Saint John - Clod War Kids

Air Aid - Menomena

Della Brown - Queensryche

Car Radio - 21 Pilots

The Tempest - Pendulum

Any way that's most of the list - anyone out there ever have music set in these kinds of categories - if so and you care to share write them down - keep the notes flowing.

Where would we be without Music?

Well for me I'd probably be dead or a shell of myself now. You see growing up music was one of my best friends (literally) I'm a person who stutters - and every school, without fail id get picked on. Music and TV were my escape (teen years) the first cassette I bought was beastie boys Licensed to I'll (yeah I'm old) 🤣. This little purchase led me down a path to freedom in a way - the beats soaked into my soul - the words flying fast and furious filled my brain - I was no longer part of the outside world when the headphones were on. Now I have music to lift me up when I'm feeling down, some heavy metal to match the rage from a horrible work day - ot a melancholy song to match a crappy day and you just want to sulk. My taste runs the gambit - always up for a new sound or band - looking forward to hearing from fellow music lovers. What does music mean to you and where would you be without it?

Changes

So I have had this song lyric running through my head for the last week or so - "Now I've become unhinged, like a door in a frame. Never quite closed but I ain't open to change." (Sam Roberts)

So here's my hmmmmmm moment - this OHS/Triple bypass was thrown upon me without warning, now I'm a pretty routine focused person and change is hard for me. How do we cope with the massive changes that lay down the paths ahead of us. Example I love salt, sugar and an occasional fast food burger, alas these things are no longer an option going forward. No longer being able to throw whatever you want in your shopping cart, having to give up so much. How do we cope with a new lifestyle that clashes with the old one.

Will the new norm even settle into the old ghost of a life in the past -- post your thoughts or how you adjusted to this newer healthy lifestyle.

Recovery questions for a newbie

Hello out there, I just had a triple bypass surgery and would really like to know from some of the others that have had it awhile ago what was the recovery like. Now it's only been about a week since the surgery, but my donor leg is just killing me - is that the norm or is something wrong. It also seems like my taste is all out of whack, has anyone else experienced that and if so how long did it last. Just curious to see what I'm in for I guess.

Thanks for any help
