Microsoft deleted the entire Org One Drive and won't even say sorry
So, let me start off by apologizing by some harsher words, but currently no better come to mind.
My mom runs a nonprofit organization. She is not very tech-savvy so I help her sometimes when she needs something. We setup a nonprofit licence for office 365 (I think it was business premium) around 3-4 years back and everything was working (as much as microslop stuff can). However the licence just stopped working on 14th of June, when I investigated I found ONE email warning that the licence will be suspended on May 1st.
However this email only arrived on that shitty .onmicrosoft address which is TOTALY USELESS. I can't log in to gmail, I cant even login to outlook desktop or mobile. The only way to check this email address is trough outlook on web. Which I mean COME ON. That shit is obviously really important that you discontinue the licence. Why cant you just send it on the secondary email too? BTW all invoices which are just 0euro arrive on that secondary email, nothing else comes there since its useless.
As mentioned 14th of june everything stopped working. I found the email and activated the new business basic licence which is now the free option for nonprofits. However the OneDrive contents were not present. Mind you everything important regarding her nonprofit business is stored in that one drive. So I started the neverending battle with useless Microslop support which are about as helpful as banging your head on a pavement.
After about 6th email where the useless guy just copy pasted shit out of a script while requesting me to do the same shit 20th time just different way (Every recovery step he recommended was opening one drive and checking if the files are there) I politely messaged him to fuck off and that it is obviously their backend issue and to stop making me stupid shit just because its in his script.
My question is, HOW can this even happen? Everything is the same, the accounts, the organization, the billing account, everything.
I know by law they're required to store the data for some additional amount of time. Does the countdown start from the 1st of May? If so how did everything work until the 14th of June without issues? Is any sort of recovery even possible? After the last email they just stopped responding all together. I received one email full of nothing burger so I don't count that.
Is someone here who can help me if the recovery is even potentially still possible?
Since the data is probably fucked, is there a way we can get from Microslop as apology for their stupid processes? I'm guessing not but you never know.
