Amount of class time per week for Year 11/12 students per subject?
Hi everyone, I’m a high school science teacher in NSW.
I am always so rushed to complete the course content every year. Perhaps it comes down to how many hours of lessons we have per week?
Each class in year 11/12 has 3hrs 40mins per week. (Equivalent to 220mins) this is broken down to 4x55min periods each week.
Just wondering how this compares to other schools?
As a side note, NESA auditors insist that we cannot start the HSC course until W5,T4. As we haven’t ticked over our ‘indicative hours’ 120 from yr11 (the yearly exams were at end of T3).
