i signed up to volunteer at open day with a friend but she's no longer volunteering so now i'm second guessing if i should actually do it. i've never been to an open day (at any uni) so i'm not really sure what the vibes are.

i have a question about special consideration/extension periods (faculty of arts if that is relevant). i already got a 10 working day extension on an essay from my subject coordinator. the assignment was initially due on 9/6 and my extended due date is 24/6. however, i need another extension.
my question is if the 20 working day extension period always applies or if it being the end of semester will mean i can't get a further extension? i've never had a 20 day extension before so i'm not sure how it works. i had a look on the spec con page and the subject guide but i couldn't find anything.

edit: i have already submitted my spec con application for the additional 10 days, but i'm asking if 20 days is available or if it's not available because of the final results release date. i've had a 20 day extension granted in the past (via spec con) at the end of semester 2 (past the final results release date) but ended up not needing it so i'm unsure if it being sem 1 makes any difference.

i have an oral exam for a language subject scheduled for 8/6, which is the king's birthday public holiday. i know in past years king's birthday has fallen during the exam period and there have been exams scheduled on the day, however, the calendar for this year says that "No exams are scheduled on this day". it's a faculty managed exam if that is relevant. i'm basically asking if the exam can still be scheduled for this day?
