2 year old Dolly needs a forever home, Nashville TN
Backstory: Dolly was abandoned in a parking lot and taken in by my sister bc she didn’t want her to go to a shelter, especially bc she’s a pit. She’s had her for about a year now, and while she is the sweetest little girl, they aren’t a good match. Dolly is too big of a dog for her, and is very reactive to other dogs. This has resulted in injury (my sister tripped and fell when Dolly pulled on a walk), and now Dolly is living a shadow of the life she deserves. She never goes on walks, and is crated for much of the day while my sister is at work.
We have been trying to rehome her for months now and man it’s hard. Posts on adoptapet and rescueme and Facebook and here and Nextdoor and anywhere I can think of. My sister is adamant that she not go to a shelter, but I feel like we might be getting to that point.
Dolly is such a sweet girl. She loves laying on the couch under a blanket, loves tearing apart her toys, is such a goofball. Shes crate trained, has been trained with a e-collar and prong collar, is spayed and up to date on all of her shots. She needs to be the only dog in the house. We don’t know how she is with cats or children. I will be visiting in June and will take her out to stores/parks and see how she does so I can better help find her a home, but until then I’ll keep making posts to see if anyone is interested.
