i do not have the words for how stomach-churningly anxious i am about even publishing this story, much less posting about it here, so i beg of you, if you hate it, just let it die in obscurity rather than say so to my face 😣

tbh i still have misgivings about the smut, and for awhile i was feeling like it didn't want to be written at all, so if you're satisfied by the end of the fluffy bits i strongly encourage you to just stop reading there. but if you like smut and you have low standards for the quality of said smut, enjoy 😂

it occurred to me recently, zuko knows all about what happened to katara's mother and how she was raised in the southern water tribe, but does katara know about what zuko went through? does she even know exactly how he got his scar? afaik it's not something he tends to talk about with anyone.

all he told her in the catacombs was that the fire nation also took his mother away, and that his scar was "the mark of the banished prince." he wouldn't have brought it up while the rest of the gaang was around, and when they were searching for the southern raiders he was all about supporting katara.

do you think things might have turned out differently if he had told her, either in the catacombs or when she was threatening him right after he joined the gaang, or as he's convincing her to go with him to hunt down the southern raiders? what if it had been katara talking to zuko during the ember island players (god forbid she not be responsible for managing aang's emotions for 10 minutes)? even after aang yells at them at the beach house and storms off, katara could sit down with that scroll again and try to see ozai as a human being who deserves to live, and zuko could tell her about his past to make it clear what an irredeemable monster ozai truly is.

what do you guys think? is there a fic that explores this idea? how would you like to see it play out, or am i brainfarting on some part of an episode where he DID tell her?

my husband has CML and has been on scemblix for a little over a year now with great results, it's his 3rd TKI in the 5 years since his diagnosis. recently he got some test results that indicate he has latent tuberculosis, and since his rheumatologist wants to put him on an immunosuppressant to help with his joint pain, first they need to treat the latent TB. the infectious disease specialist prescribed rifampin and said there's no interaction with scemblix.

well he's kind of hooked on AI lately and "the AI said" rifampin DOES interact with scemblix, "greatly reducing its efficacy." all the documentation from novartis says is that rifampin combined with a 40mg dose of scemblix results in an AUCinf decrease of 15% and a Cmax increase of 9%. i don't know what either of those things means and his oncologist won't answer the phone.

does anyone here know what AUCinf and Cmax mean for the actual efficacy of a TKI? does that interaction mean he shouldn't take rifampin?
