I’ve retired to Taiwan about 1 1/2 years ago, live out in Tamsui and want to purchase a car. I’ve already got my local Taiwan drivers license so am covered there. My wife is Taiwanese but busy (up to her eyeballs!) dealing with her ailing parents, so I want to do most of the research & negotiations myself (besides - she’s a horrible negotiator).

Any tips or advice would be quite welcome…what to do, what not to do, mistakes to avoid, used or new? etc.
