Canyon size chart vs. Bike sizing advice from professional bike fitter.
Has anyone experienced going to a bike fitter and getting recommended a different size than Canyon’s own size chart?
I am 183 cm tall with an inseam of 83 cm, which puts me right in the middle of a Medium in Canyon’s sizing chart for the Endurace CF 7.
I went to a bike fitter who recommended a size Large instead, because he thinks a Medium would be too racy and aggressive in position given my expressed preference for long, comfortable rides.
This seems to go against both Canyon’s sizing and what I’ve seen from online recommendations, where Medium seems to be the standard choice for my height.
Has anyone had a similar experience where a fitter recommended going up a size like this? And if so, how did it work out in reality — did you stick with the fitter’s recommendation or go with Canyons recommended sizing?
