I truly just need to vent.

In September 2025 I was in a car accident (I was not at-fault), October 2025 symptoms started and it has been hell ever since.

It started with a completely numb leg, all the way down to my toes. Loss of strength in the right leg, where I could not raise up on my toes. Excruciating pain when sitting/standing/walking in the nerve from the back down to half way down my calf. PT and Chiropractor visits were the start. Symptoms eventually got a bit better and I felt like I was getting my life back.

All of a sudden it came back.

I can't walk, stand or sit without pain. The answer is just "this is a normal part of this recovery and to be expected".

I feel like there is no end in sight. The pain that this type of injury causes is incomparable to anything I've ever felt. I consider myself a strong person, and I'm being reduced to tears almost every day.

I'm in my 30s and I can't walk, go to concerts, do my laundry, cook meals or even have sex without pain. I am so done with being given band-aid pills and PT that only relieves for short periods. It feels like the medical field doesn't take the pain seriously unless you're literally pissing and shitting yourself. Why are we just expected to push through it?

I have a CAT scan lined up, but it just feels like no one takes this seriously. I feel so isolated in my pain. No one could every understand what this is like without going through it. I'm just so done. I want my life back.
