RIP swim spa
Swim spa caught on fire on Saturday 😢. Demolished the remains today. There was a 5' power whip coming out of a junction box going into the spa. I opened the junction box thinking there would be wing nuts to disconnect the whip. Looks like they ran a long line directly from the sub-panel, and ran it through the conduit.
To be honest, without the spa, the junction box is in an inconvenient place even without the whip. Should I cut the extra length, cap the ends and leave the junction box? Cut it even shorter, remove the box, and cap the conduit feed tube? Something else?
