anyone know any (inexpensive) resources for ADHD diagnosis/treatment?

Incoming freshman looking to get formally diagnosed and hopefully medicated; parents don't think ADHD is a real thing, can't afford a neuropsych, primary physician and therapist can't help, been told to use my college's resources but emory does not offer any help specifically for ADHD. Anyone know any resources I can use? I really don't know what to do.

Course registration advice!!

How fast do SOC 101, PSYC 111, and FIN 201 (all courses aligning w potential majors/really need to do these first semester) usually fill up? Was hoping to get PHIL 100 w prof Yancy (long shot - 2/18 seats left...) and was wondering which other course(s) to prioritize besides this one on registration day 1.

I plan to go for PHIL 100 and one of the courses listed above (either fin or psyc depending on which is more competitive) - if I don't get PHIL 100, would it be smart of me to immediately reserve a spot in another one of my intended major courses I listed as a backup, or am I safe to go for something like FILM 101 (few seats left - was my backup "fun" non-major/exploratory class aside from phil) instead while trusting that SOC 101, PSYC 111, and FIN 201 will broadly have availability left by day 2?

Would it be smarter of me to give up on phil 100 and ensure i get into psyc 111 and fin 201 since those are the most important courses for me to take right now? Is it competitive enough to get into them to warrant prioritizing them over electives?

Soc 101 only has one section but i'm assuming it's not super hard to get into (correct me if im wrong pls) since there are 77 seats left.

Does anyone else get odd chest pains around their heart?

Don't know if this is necessarily SRS but I often feel pain right around my heart area (can't really tell if it's coming from my heart or the cartilage around where my top left ribs connect to my sternum) and feel tightness in my chest (kind of a similar feeling to the one i feel in my slipping lower ribs) around there when I breathe. Should I be concerned at all? I'm 18 and otherwise very healthy, and additionally got my vitals done at the ER a few months ago and everything was perfect. Could it be stress?

Got harris hall am i cooked

Incoming first-year, got a single in harris. I've heard it's one of the older dorms so i'm a bit worried about roaches and the bathroom situation. Have also heard that it's mainly occupied by sophomores; does this affect the social scene for freshmen at all?

Not sure if I have SRS - any advice is appreciated

I (18F) have been dealing with rib issues for around a year now, but the symptoms don't exactly match what I've been reading about SRS online and I'm extremely confused and don't know how to move forward

I started feeling an occasional popping sensation in my lower left ribcage induced by twisting movement around a year ago but ignored it because it was not accompanied by any pain at first. The popping grew more frequent until one day I had an incident where I felt like I could not breathe because my ribcage was so stiff and breathing in too deeply caused sharp pain. I went to Urgent Care, had an X-ray done, everything was normal, so I continued to ignore it. I started experiencing more pain and popping in my daily life (rib would pop whenever I'd try to exercise (arm exercises with weights heavier than 5lb are continually a huge trigger) or carry groceries; could not lay on my back because I couldnt breathe properly (rib feels stuck)) and 2 months ago had a repeat incident where I couldn't breathe and went from urgent care to the ER (they had to check for potential heart issues I guess); not so much in pain but ribs felt like there was cotton between them or something and like my organs and diaphragm were getting caught between them (SUCH a weird feeling to describe which is still a barrier to seeking help), felt a cold sensation going down a line in my organs on the same side as the rib. Just severe visceral/intercostal discomfort. Symptoms got much much worse, started feeling it in my right side as well, and I literally cannot sleep at night because any pressure on the ribs hurts and makes it feel like they're caving in (my ribs feel SOFT) and catching on my diaphragm, and I am in constant pain and discomfort. It's a sensation I can't effectively describe.

I've been able to literally pop one of my left ribs out of place before which makes me feel like it's SRS (one of the doctors at the ER diagnosed me based on my symptoms) but it seems like there's no way to confirm via imaging so I'm stumped on how to seek care. I've seen two orthopedic surgeons (who both referred me to PT) and multiple PTs and no one seems to know how to handle this. I've also been told to look into an intercostal nerve injection but since my pain is so ambiguous and comes and goes randomly and no imaging has yielded results I hesitate to jump to this. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Latest PT I saw wants to try an approach where I change my mental response to the rib popping instead of actually fixing it (which i find ridiculous especially since I have so much intercostal discomfort). Lmk if you want me to provide more details on that one.

If any context is useful, I played volleyball competitively for 3 years in high school before back pain forced me to stop. I have mild scoliosis and pretty poor posture, and carried a heavy tote bag on my left shoulder all throughout senior year which retrospectively probably amplified the problem, though switching to a backpack has not fixed anything.

Was also given 500mg naproxen pills and lidocadine patches, neither of which helped at all.
