[Biggs] Kiran Amegadjie is expected to be the starter at left tackle in Saturday's preseason opener. Plan is to get close to even reps with Jedrick Wills. ... Good chance Braxton Jones (knee) returns to practice this afternoon and gets some work in. If all goes well, he could be full go next week.

[Hoge] Positives and negatives from today's scrimmage

Positives
- Run game looked great. 4 [Swift] & 25 [Monangai] both rolling. Offense dominated early short yardage/goal-line period.
- Overall, Caleb/offense continue to look impressive.
- T.J. Edwards had his most intense practice and looked good
- Very competitive 1-on-1 special teams drill had everyone fired up (not just me)

Negatives
- Not sure we got any answers at LT today.
- Wasn't Caleb's most accurate day. Missed out on a couple big plays by leading 84 [Loveland] & 14 [Raymond] too far after both had easy wins in their routes
- I didn't see Tyrique Stevenson out there in the last period, but also didn't see him leave practice
- Felt like juice was lacking a little bit today. At one point Randle El challenged the sideline after there was little reaction to a TD

[Biggs] Initial thought is that #Bears LT Braxton Jones dodged a significant injury and will be fine. He needs to be checked out more but sounds positive. Jones was emotional after leaving the 1-on-1 pass rushing drill and understandably.

[Fishbain] Final drill: Bears ball with 54 seconds down 5 at their 47-yard line. After back-to-back false starts, Caleb Williams eventually converted a fourth down to Kalif Raymond. With 3 seconds left, his pass to Burden in traffic in the end zone fell incomplete. Devin Bush put big hit on Burden

Other reports on the play indicate that Burden was slow to get up but walked off OK.
