For those of you who have been granted citizenship, how long did it take before you received your certificate? I received notice on Feb 23, 2026 that I was granted citizenship under 5.1 on Dec 5, 2025. It's now Aug 7 and I still have not received any word back on my actual certificate. I would love to get my passport. My husband and kids were granted citizenship just prior to the new law going into effect and they were e-mailed their certificates the same day. I'm super frustrated that mine is taking this long!

I received notice on Feb 23, 2026 that my application for citizenship was approved on Dec 5, 2025. I have still not received my proof of citizenship certificate and all requests submitted thru the portal come back with the generic "We're working as quickly as we can" message. I am not certain if the certificate was lost in the mail or is still being processed, but I cannot apply for a passport or plan travel for this summer until I receive it. Has anyone had any luck requesting expedited processing or obtaining a real answer in a situation such as this? Is 6 months reasonable to wait or should I be concerned?
